My Moonslope Project: ART > SELF

The life I touch for good or ill will touch another life, and that in turn another, until who knows where the trembling stops or in what far place my touch will be felt.
— Frederick Buechner

There are many things in my life I love to do, things I am really compelled to do, each for a variety of not-so-obvious reasons. In no particular order and without pause or pretense, I confess an affinity for the following:

I realize, though, that I am extremely fortunate to have the ability to do any and all of these things. Through My Moonslope Project, I profess to share these gifts with others through my art.

As I experience life, I am forever amazed by the people I meet. This project is simply a way of giving back to the unsuspecting, without any intention of reciprocation. It is simply my way of acknowledging those around me that have an impact on what I do and how I do it. Even I can't predict when it will happen.

I created the logo I use to represent a snow-capped mountain with the moon peaking out from behind. The lines down the mountain are crooked, much like how I ski, and form the shape of my initials, "SD". This image comes from one of my favorite memories, night skiing under a full moon with my wife. I aspire to create similar memories as others become part of My Moonslope Project.
